1997-2000 - I created humans. My firstborn arrived August 1997; second/last Sept 1999. Both Virgos. The metamorphosis from regular ol' independent, strong-minded woman into fierce protectorate warrior mama (although sleep-deprived) was empowering, overwhelming, and yes, at times turbulent. I'm currently on track for a different birthing as I tackle my memoir proposal, tighten the completed manuscript, with an eye to querying this autumn. Your post inspires me to go forth with focus and fire, and with faith in Saturn's influence and Aries' energy surge. Thanks, Lisa, for helping light the fuse.
Lisa, I love how you take so many different concepts related to well-being and weave them into the writing life so elegantly. I just passed my second Saturn return (when Saturn returns to the exact degree it was in the natal chart). Just when you get through menopause and start sleeping again, there's ANOTHER lesson. Thanks to retrogrades and my natal chart, Saturn crosses my exact birth degree three more times before next February (😰). For anyone who is interested and has a GPT Plus account, there's a GPT called "Astrology & Human Design - Jade Assistant". I don't know who Jade is, but based on both my natal chart and HD chart, the GPT helped me understand the Saturn return on a very personal level.
Oof! Your three years sound a lot like my three years in terms of turbulence. Definitely pay attention to the next few posts. I think they'll help you move through this with ease.
1997-2000: Puberty!! haha Leaving elementary school and starting middle school. Stumbling through figuring out who I wanted to be and who others clearly wanted me to be. Spoiler alert, they didn't match up. A budding sexuality that wouldn't make any sense until very recently. A new love affair with music (started playing the acoustic guitar) and writing (long-form academic essays and poetry). This was also the time I started to experience serious conflicts with my parents; i.e. not fitting in their box or meeting their expectations. I realized that I wanted to explore a different way of living than they were comfortable with.

What an exciting and generative time! I can't wait to see how all of this plays out for you, Wendy!
Thanks, me too, teehee

That is so cool! I'll have to check out the Jade Assistant. I'm taking a deep dive into Human Design over my break.
Those 3 years I was in middle school, moved around a few times and lots of bullying. Very turbulent time!

I published my first freelance news article in April 2000 that kicked off one of the most sustained creative periods of my life.
That's fantastic. Congratulations! :)
